Thanks to Golden Scene, Splice is finally making its way to Hong Kong on September 16th. We like to call this movie the totally F’d-up version of Avatar.

Two genetic engineers fool around with mother nature and create Dren (No, that is not Bjork) a freaky hybrid creature that has been mutated from different animal species. Adrian Brody goes from killing aliens in Predators to being intimate with them in this mad science film that is playing at The Grand next week. Amazon doesn’t even need a press conference to generate excitement for their new Kindle. The love affair has grown strong as people who obviously sat out the Kindle 1 and 2, are now in prime pouncing position for the 3rd Kindle which is lighter, cheaper, holds more books and is in bad-ass black!

The only trick is if you order it now you still have to wait 2 weeks for it. What’s up with these tech companies? Do they really not know the number of units they can move? Or do they all have stock in eBay?

Plantronics Launches a New Type of Talking Headset

Back in the Eighties we all wished we had K.I.T.T. the talking car from the TV series Knight Rider.

So should it be any surprise that some of our digital gadgets can talk now? Plantronics HK recently launched a new hi-tech Bluetooth headset that will tell you “Whatz Up” with the new M100i which is so clever that it will tell you when its low on power, if it’s on mute and how much talk time is left.

On hand to help launch the new headset was local rap celebrity MC Jin who received a special one of a kind edition of the M100i, and to show his appreciation the rapper freestyled the virtues of the new headset. While we gazed into the eyes of  the beauty above…it was magic we tell you.

Review: The Expendables

Stallone and the 80′s Action Pack return to the big screen.

It’s so bad, but oh, so good!

When we were kids we always wondered why they didn’t make a movie with all the toughest action stars together, then we grew up and found out it was a matter of money and ego that it never got made. But I guess Sylvester Stallone saw how they made it work in Ocean’s Eleven/Twelve/Thirteen and decided to go for it with no doubt the money made from his recent successful film Rocky Balboa and John Rambo.

We’re guessing if you didn’t see on of the first 3 Rambo movies or the first 4 Rocky movies in the cinema then you’re probably too young to care about this movie, but if you did and you even know how cool Dolph Lundgren was in I Come in Peace, The Punisher or Showdown in Little Tokyo then you will love The Expendables.
