The popular line of TW Steel oversized watches finally make their way to Hong Kong this month at 4 exclusive shops: King’s Watch; Genève Watch Centre; Grand Shanghai Watch & Jewellery and Perfect Watch.
The stand out model we like is the Cool Black design that comes with 3 different types of color accents the anthracite (dark grey) numbers are offset with adventurous yellow (TW900), red (TW902) or blue (TW904) hands and corresponding colour on the tachymeter detailing and chrono eyes. All watches feature a Miyota 0S20 chronograph movement, and are water resistant to a depth of 10 ATM.

Nokia’s Windows Phone 7 makes its Hong Kong debut.

At a recent gala event held at the Grand Stage in the iconic colonial Western Market, Nokia Hong Kong finally unveiled the Nokia Lumia 800 and Nokia Lumia 710.
Over six months ago Nokia announced its plans to adopt the Windows Phone 7 OS as its replacement for its aging Symbian operating system. Now finally after much waiting by Nokia fans, the Finnish cell phone maker has release not one but two new smartphones running the Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango) operating system.

The Big S tries it again with 2 new models of the Galaxy Tab.

Continuing the gambling metaphors it looks like Samsung Hong Kong has pulled a triple 7 with the release of their Galaxy Tab 7.7 and Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus. Both tablets use Android 3.2 (Honeycomb); and while the devices have the same specifications in most areas, there are major differences between the two.
The Galaxy Tab 7.7 is powered by a 1.4 GHz Dual Core Processor and sports a 7.7 inch Color SUPER AMOLED Plus full touch display, and comes with a slightly large battery 5100mAh. The Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is powered by a 1.2 GHz Dual Core Processor; has a 7 inch Color PLS full touch display, and a 4000mAh battery.

The US retailer plans large-scale assault on HK.

The popular US brand J. Crew is rumored to be heading to Hong Kong in Summer of 2012 according to our sources. They are targeting Central for their first store and will look to expand almost immediately to tackle the huge mid-tier fashion market that is growing here like wildfire.
J. Crew is a huge brand that all our American readers will know well – they have around 250 retail stores and 76 locations in Japan! You can see their current collections at Jcrew.com – expect a formal announcement in December.

UK-brand gambles big on 2 locations in Hong Kong.

Fans of UK-brand Jack Wills will be happy to hear that they are opening their first Asian store in Hong Kong – and not just “one” to test the market but in 2 locations: Causeway Bay and Tsim Sha Tsui.
Jack Wills for those that don’t know the brand, takes the UK Oxford style and makes it hipper and cooler; they’ve definitely latched onto something as they have almost 60 stores in the UK and US, and now look to break into Asia through Hong Kong.
Our sister site, Butterboom.com is saying that it feels like a Battle of the Trendy Brands recently as they saw the opening of American Eagle earlier this year, Hollister in August and now waiting for The Gap later this month and Abercrombie and Fitch soon.
