Blood: The Last Vampire Stalks Hong Kong on June 4th
| June 4, 2009 |
The live-action version of the popular anime slays its way to Hong Kong.

We’ve been waiting for this one too, Blood: The Last Vampire is the live-action version of a 2003 anime OVA and now a French director, a Hong Kong producer and a Korean star bring the Japanese character to life in 2 weeks, up against Star Trek’s Hong Kong launch.
Quick synopsis: A vampire named Saya, who is part of covert government agency that hunts and destroys demons in a post-WWII Japan, is inserted in a military school to discover which one of her classmates is a demon is disguise.
It looks to have that Crouching Tiger feel to it, fun to see Japan’s answer to Buffy the Vampire Slayer is completely humorless and extremely bloody and that vampire-culture just reaches everywhere in the world:
If you haven’t seen the anime, it seems that someone has posted the entire 45-minute OVA on Google Video, so have a view of the English-subtitled version (slightly-skewed) below to prepare yourself for June 4th:
