Canon Launches 2 New Shift-Tilt Lenses
Once again, Canon proves its leadership with these super hi-tech lenses:

If you don’t know about Canon’s Tilt and Shift lenses, you have to know now. These are truly magnificent lenses for professional photography. They shift and tilt so that you can get the best angles for shooting without putting yourself in an awkward position. Let’s take a look at Canon’s newest 2 ultra-wide angle lenses:
TS-E 17mm f/4L
The image you see above is this lens. It packs 18 of Canon’s newly developed lens elements into 12 groups, so you can easily reach your needed functionality. This lens can tilt up to 6.5 degrees, shift up to 12mm, and rotate up to 90 degrees in any direction.
TS-E 24mm f/3.5L
Judging by the looks, the TS-E 24mm f/3.5L and TS-E 17mm f/4L looks very similar. However, the TS-E 24mm f/3.5L packs a slightly less 16 lens elements into 11 groups– 2 short of the TS-E 17mm f/4L. However, this one allows for more room in its tilt operation. It’s able to tilt 8.5 degrees, 2 degrees more than its buddy. Its shift and rotation operations are the same as the TS-E 17mm f/4L, being able to shift 12mm and rotate 90 degrees in any direction.
Both of these lenses come with advanced Canon technology, such as Subwavelength Structure Coating to reduce ghosting and glare, and Ultra Low Dispersion lenses to provide correction of chromatic aberration.
If you thought these lenses were cheap, you cannot be farther from the truth. Like other models in the shift-tilt lens family, these lenses are very expensive. The TS-E 17mm f/4L has a price tag of HK$19,300 while the TS-E 24mm f/3.5L sells for HK$17,000. See these lenses on Canon’s website.
