Sony Corporation of Hong Kong Limited today introduced fashionable new additions to its range of PC headsets designed for music listening, online multi-player gaming, and hands-free web chats as well as VoIP calls on MSN Messenger and Skype.
DR-350USB: Designed for audio excellence
With the supplied USB cable, the DR-350USB headset offers users crisp, clear sound by eliminating noise from the PC through digital transmission via a USB connection. The DR-350USB also features a microphone muting function, which is extremely useful when one is engaged in a video conference call with multiple participants or during multi-player game sessions. On top of that, the DR-350USB offers the same benefits as the DR-320DPV, boasting a 30mm driver unit, built-in microphone and a detachable voice tube for comfort and convenience. The DR-350USB is available in three classic colors of Black, Gold and Red. (pictured above)
The device that is bigger and more sensitive than we are.
Admit it, this is what you thought the iPad was going to be! And because it wasn’t you were truly disappointed with Apple. But at least now you can see how they managed to get the iPad to start at US$500.
Wacom introduces their new Cintiq 21UX at a price of US$1,999 (HK$16,000) and its coming out in April. We test drove the last Cintiq model via its distributor here in Hong Kong and we loved it. What an amazing machine! We expect no less from the Japanese who take their traditional penmanship so seriously as well.
If you are an artist, designer, photographer or animator this giant 21″ LC display that has 2048 levels of pressure sensitivity is a necessity of your digital life, and Wacom does have the Bamboo line which is very economically priced for a tablet (guess they will have to change the name now to avoid confusion with the Tablet PC category). So time to call a meeting with your boss and show him how you need this to do your job properly!
Spice up that Wii sensor, by having a Sith Lord to hold it for you.
Seems like Nintendo Monday today, but this Nintendo Wii sensor holder was too cool not to show.
How many of you, like us, just have their Wii sensor sitting somewhere on top or near your TV – pretty boring stuff, when for HK$320 you can have Darth Vader holding it for you!
It’s cast in high-density resin with a specially crafted Lightsaber to safely supports the Wii Sensor Bar while maintaining full range and performance. More here at Geekstir
The days of tangled wires for your gadgets is now a thing of the past.
Powermat from the U.S. launches its line of wireless chargers in Hong Kong this month. You’ve probably seen this concept work for the Palm Pre, but basically you only have to plug in the Powermat and then rest your iPhone, Blackberry or Nintendo DS on the mat and they get charged electromagnetically.
They’ve sold over 750,000 Powermat’s in the first two months of availability in the US, and now its available in Hong Kong for HK$998 for the desktop or portable versions and HK$298 for each device receiver and it currently supports iPhone, iPod Touch, Blackberry Bold, Curve and Pearl and a range of Nintendo DS’s. If you are a neat freak and want to ditch all those wires then this might be an investment you’re willing to make. This video explains it quite simply:
Remember when a USB drive was the size of your thumb? Well, now they’re the size of your fingernail! New Echo ZE and SE drives from Lexar offer an easy-to-use storage solution in a very small package. The 8GB and 16GB SE backup drives are already on the market, with the 32GB ZE model awaiting release.
These flashed-based drives are compatible with PC and Mac operating systems and have a two-year limited warranty. Files added to the drive will be encrypted for security’s sake. Echo models plug right into USB drives and require no special software downloads.
Unlike other flash drives, the Lexar Echo allows you to use your backup files on almost any computer system. The automatic backup feature will even store and encrypt your files as you use them, saving and protecting data even when you’re focused on other tasks. The 32GB, 16GB and 8GB models will be released in February in the US and will trickle to Asia soon after.
We’re pretty sure it doesn’t come with acid blood…
We’ve shown you USB figures from Transformers and Star Wars in the past, and the trend of bringing pop culture sci-fi movie characters right to your desktop.
Now, it’s Alien’s turn. This 138 x 85 x 240 mm figure from Japan is taking pre-orders next month. We’re not sure if this is just a USB toy, a USB hub or a USB thumbdrive, but then again if this thing is on your desk with a red glow coming out of its mouth and looking this cool, we’re all for it.
Its ¥6,450 (HK$560) and you can order one right here.
