This month’s issue of Fortune pulls back the curtain on AppleLand.

We downloaded the new issue of Fortune on our iPad specifically because of the 22-page story on Apple. The app is free but the issue costs US$4.99/HK$40 – cheaper than you’ll pay for the print copy in Hong Kong. But alas no extra multimedia or interactivity other than the ability to read vertically or horizontally.
If you want to get the basics, a few of the Apple sites in the US have skimmed some of the surface of the story but its an amazing read for those as infatuated with Apple as we are, and all wrapped up in a beautiful and easy to read format provided by the iPad.
We took the liberty of taking some screen shots for you to coerce you to switch to the digital version below.

Be as knowledgeable as President Obama is, with your new iPad 2.

We’re sure you can’t turn around without seeing the headline “DEAD” or “JACK BAUER” today in Hong Kong. And with the 12.4 million tweets sent an hour on Twitter about the killing of Osama Bin Laden this may be an even bigger social media event than last week’s Royal Wedding.
But just in case you wanted to get even more details on the kill of the decade on your new iPad 2, then we have 3 apps you might like.

The rain and Royal Wedding won’t keep Apple fans away!

We announced on Wednesday night the official launch date for the iPad 2 was today in Hong Kong! And just like the original iPad the sales response has been huge.
Apple’s website www.apple.com/hk started selling the iPad 2 at 1am this morning and promptly sold out in 40 minutes. A visit there now shows that all configurations of the product are “unavailable” and we hear that they won’t deliver them till May 15.
Apple fans that didn’t get them online or didn’t want to wait 3 weeks for delivery braved the rain this morning in Hong Kong. We saw this post this morning of Mong Kok Fortress lines at 11:55pm last night but Hong Kong side, specifically Causeway Bay was busy but people only started lining up early this morning – as early a 5am.

April is turning out to be an expensive month for Apple fans.

The hits keep coming – to our wallets that is, no sooner that we revealed the April 29 launch date for the iPad 2 in Hong Kong than Apple goes and releases the white iPhone 4.
During tonight’s iPhanatics meet-up in SoHo, all the iPhone users that were on the Smartone-Vodafone network all got the same SMS: the white iPhone 4 was going on sale at midnight tonight!
After the meet-up we jumped down to Model Lane to see what the line-up looked like and queue had already grown from the SMV shop up to Lan Kwai Fong.
