Now you can follow your fave HK stars on your iPhone.

Check this out iPhone fans: Viddy has been installed over 100,000 times in Hong Kong – in just 9 days.
Just like Twitter and Sina Weibo, fans are rushing to get the new video app in order to view personal videos uploaded by local celebrities such as Angelababy, Cecilia Pak Chi Cheung, Ella Koon, Edison Chen and his rumored new girlfriend Janice Man.
Today, the most popular entertainment industry stars on Viddy are Ella Koon (17 videos; 30,000+ followers); Angelababy (18 videos; 27,000+ followers); Cecilia Pak Chi Cheung (6 videos; 23,000+ followers); Janice Man (6 videos; 21,000+ followers); and Edison Chen (40 videos; 40,000+ followers).
Basically, it’s the same as Instragram – only for video! You have 15 seconds to film something and then Viddy can add cool filters and music to make those seconds seem like it was produced by a Hollywood effects team – and then most impotantly it shares it to a video consuming community that can “like” it, comment on it or share it to their social networks like Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

D&G’s tips and tricks on dating, style and grooming.

Dolce & Gabbana have released an iPhone app that isn’t just photos of their clothes (well they have that too) it’s a guide on etiquette, style and grooming.
Beyond the typical “how to wear a suit” guide – the D&G app entitled Rules for the Modern Gentleman – that employs British GQ’s editor and fashion journalist Dylan Jones with his decidedly British dry wit – in text and video – explaining how if you see a tie you like, you should buy it, because if you don’t someone else will – and he will be in your next meeting wearing it and it will cause you to have a bad day.
Other quotes that should facilitate a download:
- “Find a good deodorant, and use it enthusiastically.”
- “Check your fly after every toilet break. Religiously.”
It’s not of the highest design standard or programming magic but it does the job and is an interesting read on the MTR. Download it for your iPhone here.

The walkie-talkie is alive and well in the form of a new iPhone app called TalkBox.
Created in Hong Kong by Green Tomato – the same people that developed the HK Movies app – instead of sending text messages to your friends, Talkbox lets you send voice messages to each other for free!
Let’s walk through the feature list of this new app that does what it does very well and looks great – and starting with your number one question: Why don’t I just call the person instead?
