One of the biggest UK personalities will be in town later this month.

Sure Stephen Fry is an accomplished actor (you might know him from Blackadder, Bones or most recently as The Cheshire Cat in Alice in Wonderland) comedian, journalist (he wrote this recent piece on Steve Jobs for Time magazine) and author but we here at Neonpunch.com know him as the leading tech geek from the UK (he has his own iPad app called Fry Paper) and are one of the 1.6 million+ Twitter followers of @stephenfry.

And now for the first time, Mr. Fry will be in Hong Kong later this month to promote his new book via his good friend Sir David Tang.

Mr. Fry is one of a group of internationally celebrated authors taking part in the 21st edition of the HKTDC Hong Kong Book Fair at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The 21-27 July fair – the world’s largest Chinese-language event in terms of visitor numbers – will expand its English-language offering this year, and if you’ve ever been you’ll its the biggest and craziest public show in Hong Kong – yes, we said the book fair is the craziest show in town! You have got to see it to believe it.

Mr. Fry, who will join fellow authors Frederick Forsyth and Andrew Roberts at the forums moderated by Sir David, also said he hopes to read excerpts from his upcoming memoirs, which cover his Cambridge University years, when he met his long-time friend and collaborator actress Emma Thompson.
