As if his good looks, mad soccer skills and super hot wife, David Beckham wasn’t enough, he can now add a “bodywear” collection for H&M to his list of epic achievements.

The nine men’s underwear styles symbolize quality with an emphasis on fit, function, comfort and design. The minimalistic branding presents basics that form the foundation of any respectful guy’s wardrobe – think briefs, boxers, vests, tees, pajamas and wait for it…long johns!

“Collectively with my design team we spent time working on the feel, fit and style to ensure the product is not only something I would wear but one which I would be proud to put my name to”, Beckham explains.

The collection hits stores on February 2^nd and is the first of a long-term collaboration with H&M. We definitely can’t wait, we’re picturing crazy comfortable basics that’d we’d want to sleep, eat and live in.

If you missed the batch online, here’s your second chance.

Apple has informed us that they will be opening the IFC Mall Apple store at 7am on November 11th to sell iPhone 4S without contracts.

This means if you missed pre-ordering online last week you will have another chance to get a contract-free iPhone 4S on Friday morning IF you line up early. We’re obviously talking about camping out early.

We don’t know the maximum number of 4S’s you can buy but online it was capped at 10 per person – meaning you will be competing against the Chinese smugglers and probably other office buying pools.

So get ready to rumble Hong Kong! Prices are:

The wait for Siri is over Hong Kong!

Apple has announced that the iPhone 4S is finally heading to our shores a lot sooner than expected – NEXT WEEK!

Some other countries are getting it too, like South Korea, but who cares about them. The prices are the same as in the US$199/US$299/US$399 HK$5088/HK$5888/$6688 for the 16GB/32GB/64GB black and white models.

So these are the prices direct from the Apple store with no contract data plan, and you can pre-order on November 4th. We have no information on any carrier deals right now – but for those prices, and the fact you are probably just beginning your second plan year you might as well just buy it outright and be free to choose a new carrier when the iPhone 5 comes out.

UPDATE: As you probably know via SMS your favorite carrier now has iPhone 4S for pre-order with many doing the same midnight availability on the 11th as they did for the iPhone 4. Seems Apple played fair and spread out the stock in HK to the carriers and some for their store. There will still be another option to buy we hear, so check back next week.

The famous book series gets a David Fincher remake

One of the most popular adult book series in recent memory is the Millenium series by Stieg Larsson, and the first book in the series The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo is coming to theatres on January 5th, 2012.

And while there is already a film series from Sweden based on the book, the director of Fight Club and The Social Network – David Fincher – has roped in James Bond Daniel Craig and the girl who dump Mark Zuckerberg in The Social Network Rooney Mara – for a remake which promises to be “the feel bad movie of Christmas” – and if you’ve read the books or seen the originals that line isn’t far off the mark.

Applemaniacs prepare for retail battle this weekend!

Looks like the information we posted (finally) was correct – Apple is opening their first Hong Kong store this Saturday, September 24th at 9am at the IFC Mall in Central.

We dropped by IFC today to check out the store, which has now taken off all the hoarding (that we shot here) to reveal iPhone and iPad displays and what looks to be 5 entrances on 2 levels and not a lot else…have a look at the photos below and check out the page on the official Apple site here.

The real question now is: will YOU be attempting to battle the other Applemaniacs to be one of the first to stand inside this historic retail experience?

RDJ and Jude Law return for a second round in merry ol’ London.

The sequel to the wildly popular Guy Ritchie version of Sherlock Holmes is back with a sequel called Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (神探福爾摩斯: 詭影遊戲). Starring Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law as they reprise their roles as Holmes and Watson, this time with Noomi Rapace as the female lead, Stephen Fry as Mycroft Holmes and Jared Harris as Professor Moriarty.

Here’s your sneak peek at the Emerald Gladiator’s feature film debut.

Warner Bros invited us out to see a preview of their Summer tentpole Green Lantern today – it was 30 minutes in 2D and an extended trailer in 3D. And while, we, along with most other superhero movie geeks have scoffed at what’s been released so far, this preview has us very, very excited – as far as to say this could be THE superhero movie of the Summer.

The photos and trailers that have been released are probably the worst marketing effort that Warner Bros have done in recent history after seeing the preview footage. The scope, scale, comedy and action elements are lost in what they’ve shown us and therefore have given us geeks reason to hate.

We saw today extended sequences of Abin Sur, the Green Lantern that will pass his ring to Hal Jordan (Ryan Reynolds) fighting Parallax in space, an amazing plane sequence that really helps the audience relate and identify with Hal Jordan on his road to becoming an intergalactic policeman, scenes with Tomar Re, Killowog and Sinestro all look great. The CG is as great as can be done with, everything except Ryan Reynolds’ head, being the only real thing in any given scene.

Most impressive is the Green Lantern suit that Reynolds wears.

We know: what you talking ’bout, Willis??!

It looks terrible flat on your computer monitor, but on the screen, when it’s pulsating with green energy it really comes to life and the designers choice, of making the suit entirely CGI, becomes probably the most important one in the entire film.

While you can say that Ryan Reynolds is pulling a Robert Downey Jr. “sarcastic womanizing anti-hero” routine here, hey, if it works don’t break it. Reynolds has the hardest job, making a piece of space jewelry seem believable. And he does.

We’re still not convinced by Hector Hammond as the villain but it looks like Parrallax is going to be a main foe that will definitely spill into the sequel if you know your Green Lantern comic book story lines.

The 2D was good but the 3D will make it great. You will feel like you are flying in space, fighting side by side with aliens and even possessed by them. We think director Martin Campbell, who made arguably the 2 best James Bond movies, was able to find the best parts of the Green Lantern legacy and bring those parts to the big screen with a huge budget, great actors and mind-blowing set pieces in 3D.

Sure the story could fall apart at the end like the other movie previews we’ve attended in the past, but at least we know now that 30-minutes of it are “must see” in the cinema!

All in all we are very excited to see this movie, as even 30 unconnected minutes really got us more excited than the feeling after seeing Thor. We’re so convinced that we’re going to even tell Captain America to be careful coming out after Green Lantern, as the ideas and characters will attach to kids’ imagination, girls will go for Reynolds perfect sculpted body and the geeks will go crazy for Oa and the members of the Green Lantern Corps that make the Star Wars cantina scene look like Halloween in Lan Kwai Fong.

Remember in Iron Man 1 when Tony Stark takes the Iron Man armor up into the sky only to get iced up, lose power and plummet back to Earth? Green Lantern doesn’t stop there – he keeps going, beyond the clouds, beyond the stratosphere, ready to fight intergalactic evils with a magic ring.

If that’s not “no fear” enough for you, we don’t know what is.

Green Lantern opens in Hong Kong on June 16 in 3D.
