Happy Hour drinks all night. Google Map here. Facebook invite here. All are welcome, but a small caveat: we had Android users there last time that have since switched to iPhones, so if you want to remain Apple-free then you will want to skip this event and wait for our Electric Sheep Tuesdays at the Forever Lounge.
May the Jobs and Ives be with you.
And now a very special Double Rainbow commercial for iPhanatics:
At a press event at The Mira Hotel today, Sony Computer Home Entertainment Hong Kong announced that the Playstation Move motion-controller for the Playstation 3 will be available on September 15, 2010 in Hong Kong.
There are a bunch of different options to getting the Move motion controller but the basic price is going to be HK$339 and another HK$229 for then navigation controller. So its like the 2-parts of the Nintendo Wii controller but sold seperately.
Whew! In a way we’re lucky for the iPhone 4 antenna issues otherwise this mornings press conference wouldn’t have given Apple the opportunity to confirm the date of the iPhone 4 in the second launch countries – and yes, sorry South Korea who got pushed back because of their government – but Hong Kong will see it available on Friday, July 30, 2010.
And you’ll be getting a free bumper or case of your choice from Apple up until September 30th – how you like ‘em, er, Apples?!!
Looks like James Cameron decided US$350 million wasn’t enough money for himself for the first run of Avatar, so he’s bringing it back – with new footage – for a limited time to Hong Kong and only in IMAX – where the tickets are twice the price!
Between the first pair of tickets we bought, to the Blu-Ray to this re-release, we could have bought our own ticket to Pandora – sure it would be Economy class but it would still be return!
