Kate Beckinsale Keeps us Warm While Melting the Snow

She looks amazing in black, white or any color!

British-born beauty Kate Beckinsale has been seducing us since her first big movies Pearl Harbour and Serendipity in 2001, and as mentioned yesterday will be getting us all into the cinema again with her new action-thriller Whiteout in October.

Kate’s paternal grandfather was Burmese, and who she owes her more “Asian-look” as a child. And after being offered a role in a Kennenth Branagh film while still in Oxford, it seemed that a career as an actress was in the cards. She has a child with her first husband, and is now married to her Underworld director Len Wiseman.

While Kate has publicly expressed interest in playing Catwoman in the third Batman movie, we’d love to see her as Wonder Woman or even Barbarella, well any character wearing either tight leather or revealing clothing is OK with us.

Whiteout, her new film opening in Hong Kong on October 8th, is based on a popular graphic novel has her chasing a killer in Antarctica while facing the brutal nature of below freezing temperatures.

Maggie Q Fights Vampires, Too!

The hottie from HK goes from Die Hard to Die Vampires!

Maggie Q (for Quigley) 李美琪, has come along way in her career since her Hong Kong beginnings, and now she has been cast in the movie Priest – based on the Korean comic series that also stars Paul Bettany (the albino monk in The Da Vinci Code, but more envious as Mr. Jennifer Connelly).

We’ve watched as she started in crazy Hong Kong movies like Gen Y Cops and Naked Weapon, and then we turn around and she is helping Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible 3 and giving Bruce Willis a “hard” time in Die Hard 4.0. While we loved Balls of Fury, it seems that movie might have slowed Maggie’s winning streak, but she’s back next year in the movie version of King of Fighters (yes, Hollywood still hasn’t learned yet) and an interesting spy-versus-spy movie called Rogue’s Gallery.

On the Run with Noriko Sakai

The pop-star turned fugitive is in the Neonpunch spotlight.

Noriko Sakai, the Japanese singer and actress with a girl-next-door image, is a huge star in Japan, China, Taiwan and of course here in Hong Kong. Noriko has made headlines over the past few weeks by being on the run in Japan from the law for alleged drug charges, proving that Jill Vidal wasn’t the only one that had a hard time with drugs in Japan.

Noriko kicked off her music career in 1987 with her first single at the age of 16, bringing comparisons to being the Asian Kylie Minogue. The biggest selling song of her career was 1995′s Aoi Usagi. She’s starred in TV shows and her coolest role was in Ju-On 2 (The Grudge)

Mila Kunis is the Geek Dream Girl

The comedy beauty loves Warcraft and Star Trek. Your girlfriend doesn’t.

No, 25-year old Mila Kunis doesn’t have any new movie or product out this month, but because I Love You Man starring Jason Segel is out on DVD, it reminded us of how hot she was in Forgetting Sarah Marshall (that’s 2 for 2 for Segel!) that we thought we’d throw her into our Friday spotlight.

Not only is Mila super-hot she is a deeper part of pop culture than you might know: for instance she is the voice of Meg Griffin from Family Guy, she is dating the kid from Home Alone (John Hughes shout-out. R.I.P.!) and she recently said she is sick of talking about Ashton Kuchter so in our books not only is she super hot she is someone we can hang out with (if she’d let us) and crap on people we don’t like.

You might remember her from That 70′s Show as Jackie (Holy, that show started in 1998 – feel old?), doing characters on the animated action figure show Robot Chicken and unfortunately in American Psycho 2 (Yes, there was a sequel) and Max Payne.

We think her big breakout role was in Forgetting Sarah Marshall where she plays the hot Hawaiian hotel desk clerk and she looks to be on a role as she gears up for Extract alongside Jason Bateman and Ben Affleck from one of our favorite directors Mike Judge (trailer below).
