Dell’s newest laptop is superslim weighing only 1 and half kg with an 11.6-inch HD glossy WLED display and comes in these 4 cool colors. And it’s available today from Dell.com.hk for HK$4,280.

Its great to see laptops getting thinner and thinner and the display still at a good size and the price not too crazy. This is the kind of laptop you might buy as a travel computer. Its light, has a 7-in-1 card reader and can play all your movies when you’re on the road and its cheap enough that if it gets destroyed you won’t be crying too much.

We can’t speak for the hardcore Alienware fans, but because Dell purchased them back in 2006 at least their distribution power is intergalactic – thus able to get these cool PC laptops into the Hong Kong mass market!

As our Twitter followers know, we attended a Dell event yesterday and got a chance to play with the new Alienware M11x laptop – that is available today via Dell.com.hk and at Broadway shops in Hong Kong for HK$10,999.

You can view all the specs here but we played some games on it and its a sweet little machine. Cosmetically its cool that when in the Command Center you can change the color of the keyboard lights – actually any of the lights that appear – from the Alienware logo to the power light – are all fully customizable and you can even change the way it strobes and shifts colors.

Because of its size, the CD-drive is external – which is strange for a gaming laptop but seeing Grand Theft Auto on the 11″ screen was pretty cool. Its lightweight too at 2 kg, and with tons of plugs to get you playing on an HD TV with 720p output. If you want a bigger screen you can always go with the M15X or the M17X but those are priced much higher.

Here is a sweet looking laptop from Fujitsu called the Lifebook LH530 available in Hong Kong today.

Running Windows 7 with a Intel Core i3-330 processor it seems that this Lifebook not only looks sweet it also is giving us some good speed as well.

The ruby red or shiny black colors gives it that “Apple gloss” missing on many PC’s, and that 12.1-inch HD LED display makes it a very formidable laptop. And the price is pretty nice too!

As parts get smaller, laptops get thinner and the Dell Adamo XPS looks like the one to beat.

It’s a measly 9.99mm thin but its not all looks and no brain, the Adamo XPS has 4GB DDR3 800 memory, Intel Core 2 Duo (1.4Ghz) ultra-low voltage processor, 128GB SSD for faster, cooler, quieter and more durable storage and a A13.4-inch High-Definition display.

When you open the Adamo, derived from the Latin word meaning “to fall in love,” the body is raised so the keyboard is angled to enhance cooling, a capacitive latching device like the iPhone, built in location awareness and it comes with Windows 7 64-bit edition.

Nokia Hong Kong released their first mini laptop, the 3G Booklet at their flagship store opposite Times Square in Causeway Bay, celebrities Jennifer Tse (Nicholas’ sister) and Juno Mak unveiled the sleek new machine.

The Booklet has an ultrathin 2 cm body and can get online from virtually anywhere thanks to the built-in 3G modem and Wi-Fi support. The machine can run up to 12 hours thanks to a 16-cell battery which should appeal to workaholics. For the fashion forward the mini laptop comes in three colours black, ice (white) and azure (blue) and has a sticker price of HK$6,998.

While Neonpunch was excited to see Nokia’s new machine, the lovely Jennifer Tse was the real head turner in a sexy little black outfit. We got a chance to chat with her and get her opinion on the mini-laptop. Jennifer said she liked the Booklet because it was small, light and compact and very suitable for when she is on set or out on location. She also liked the fact that the built-in camera was nice and sharp which was important when she is video conferencing with her boyfriend.

Nokia is also running a special Valentine’s Day promotion where the Nokia 3G Booklet comes in a heart shaped box surrounded by red roses. There’s no extra charge for the Valentine’s Day edition of the 3G Booklet which also includes a special door-to-door delivery service.

The Valentine’s Day package is limited to 214 box sets and will be available at 14 stores including Nokia flagship store in Causeway Bay. The special box set will also include a one-year F secure internet security software subscription which can be installed onto 3 computers and Nokia handsets. Japanese laptop manufacturer Kohjinsha has released a new laptop series aptly christened the “DZ“ which sports duel 10.1” screens that slide and open for a much wider desktop area. The duel screen laptop is being marketed as a multi-tasking aid that will allow you to work on one screen while the other can be used for web browsing, referencing research data or watching por…um, we mean Bloomberg, er Cartoon Network, er…ClubPenguin.com!

The laptop comes installed with Windows 7 Home Premium (32-bit) working off an AMD Athlon Neo MV-40 processors (1.6GHz), 1 GB of RAM (upgradable to 4GB), 160 GB of HDD, Gigabit Ethernet LAN, 802.11 b / g / n, ATI Radeon 3200 integrated graphics chipset. The DZ also features a touch screen with muli-touch functions and can be used as a tablet PC as well.

Fujitsu Hong Kong recently released a new netbook which is not only compact, but incredibly stylish and will be this season’s must-have tech accessory for the urban fashionista.

The ultra lightweight and über-sleek LifeBook UH900 features a 62GB solid-state drive (SSD), Intel Atom Z530 processor and weighs less than 500g. Fujitsu’s new netbook also boasts full Windows 7 compatibility including multi-touch support.
