We spotted the above pic at Gizmodo and like what we saw. The new Eee S101 looks to have shaped up in the looks department, obviously taking a few design notes from the MacBook Air, but also upped itself in the pricing department as well.

The pricing on this one is US$700, so around HK$5,600 with 16GB Solid State Drive and XP loaded, but with 3 USB ports, a 4-in-1 card reader and VGA video out, it sounds like the perfect travel computer.

Full specs here at the Asus site, should be out in Hong Kong very soon. And did you know Asus has their very own YouTube channel? Click here to view more or view the S101 features video below:

Thin, glossy and powerful – 3 words to describe the newly released Apple MacBook line. Which basically look like portable iMac’s, which is just great news.

There are 3 kinds of Macbook laptop computers now: MacBook, MacBook Pro and MacBook Air – the non-suffixed MacBook is the entry level version which looks just like the Pro version only smaller and with less power, while the Pro is the one that most photographers and graphic designers will go for and the Air is the slim and sexy version that is the same as before just updated inside parts.

All of them are available now in Hong Kong and range from HK$10,200 for the first level MacBook to HK$19,200 for the high-end Pro to HK$19,200 for the top end Air. All can be bought online at the Hong Kong Apple store and delivered to you in 24 hours. Go here to see thickness and weight comparisons.
