Sony brings out the new Vaio laptops, we bring you the photos.
We were duly impressed with the Vaio X, with its slick shape (you can read more here) the other Vaio line they were introducing is the CW Line: a 14-inch, 16:9 widescreen display laptop with Intel Centrino 2 processor, NVIDIA GeForce GT 230M GPU, 512MB of VRAM that comes in 5 glossy colors: blue, red, pink, white and black.
The Vaio VPCCW16FG/B,/W,/P,/R,/L and VPCCW15FG/P/B/W will be available from the middle of October 2009 at the suggested retail prices of HK$8,980 and HK$6,980 respectively.

Sony came out swinging with the new Vaio X laptop yesterday in an event at Langham Place.
The Macbook Air-like X weighs just 655 grams, measures just 13.9 mm in full flat, combines the latest Intel Atom Processor Z550, solid state drive and Windows 7 altogether in a black or gold carbon fibre aluminum finish.
Designed as a truly mobile model, the VPCX118LG is equipped with WWAN for high-speed wireless Internet connection on the go. It features a high quality wide 11.1” LCD with 1366 x 768 pixels (VAIO Display Premium, LED backlight) for comfortable viewing. The keyboard is ergonomic and responsive with 17-mm key pitch isolation and a new touch pad with convenient multi-finger control like zoom and flick navigation. It also comes with various interfaces such as VGA and LAN port as well as built-in webcam. Optional accessories include a luxurious slip case in genuine leather and a uniquely styled wireless mouse.
How much would you pay for 30-inches of laptop monitor screen?
Anyone who’s ever worked with a dual-screen monitor can attest to a dramatic boost in productivity, not to mention convenience. However, not all of us have landed our corner office with enough desk-room for multiple monitors; and these days, just as much of our work gets done on the go. So what’s an efficiency-minded consumer to do? Well, you could pick up a gScreen Spacebook.

OLED stands for Organic Light Emitting Diode in easier terms it means “Super skinny video screens that can basically wrap around your wrist.” So you can imagine how totally cool, and how totally useless your current netbook will be, when it starts to come out at a consumer level later in 2010:
Samsung says it aims to roll out this beauty with a 12.1-inch, 1280×768 AMOLED screen by the end of next year, and it might even be available as early as the third quarter.
Samsung SDI is the world’s largest OLED screen manufacturer, so it would be only natural for it to be first up with an OLED notebook. This will certainly be a premium item — nobody’s talking price, but we’re guessing this sexy lappie will probably cost at least US$5000. Fast forward five years, and OLED laptops will be commonplace … and cheap.
It seems new tech always costs alot when it comes out but within 24 months its dirt cheap. But keep your eyes open for more OLED devices coming out from Samsung before this one does.
