Slickly designed, metal headphones bring music to our ears.

Following a much-hyped, very enthusiastic reception from music lovers and fashion aficionados in the UK, France and Japan, Atomic Floyd officially launches in Hong Kong.
Looking at the design, and listening to the quality of the sound you can tell these headphones were created by a company that had backgrounds in style and function. The team at Atomic Flyoyd are in fact a collective of designers and engineers with backgrounds at Nike, adidas, Philips and Shure.
While most headphones are comprised of plastic components, Atomic Floyd’s are handcrafted with metal materials including AcousticSteel, Titanium and 24k Gold. So the trifecta of quality headphones is represented here: design, workmanship and sound! You know you’ll be impressed when you learn that the cable is made of a kevlar fabric!

For HK$49 a month, how much Canto and Mando Pop can you download?

Hutchison Hong Kong recently announced their partnership with Taiwanese KKBOX Music Service via its 3 Hong Kong mobile operation and HGC Broadband. Local artists such as Swing, FAMA, Pakho, Siu Fay, Keeva and Taiwanese boy band MayDay came out in support for the Hong Kong launch of the service, now available.
3 Hong Kong iPhone customers, Android handset users and HGC Broadband customers can enjoy over a million tracks on their handsets and PCs via KKBOX, Asia’s largest Chinese music album library, as well as wireless karaoke with its running lyrics function.
So, it seems that instead of buying indiviual songs or albums on iTunes for a fixed price, 3 wants to lend you all the songs for a flat rate each month. Apparently, there’s also a good selection of English songs as well but, for obvious reasons, the main focus is on Cantonese and Mandarin artists. This KKBox service has already proven very popular in Taiwan, so it’s a no-brainer launch here in Hong Kong.
