Jack Wills, I.T, Forever 21: Causeway Bay gets hotter and hotter as Hong Kong’s must-visit fashion district!

Replay is the latest brand to open a new store in the area, and they are really putting their stylized stamp on their new location called: ONEOFF.

The “tailored store” is sized at 120 sq.m and was designed to honour the distinctive Replay personality and its love of nature. A key interior design element is the “enchanted forest” theme, where a large main wall has been covered in plants to highlight their support of eco-sustainability.

For its unique retail edit, the REPLAY ONEOFF concept is centred around tailored denim. The store will showcase one-of-a-kind denim couture dresses produced by REPLAY – such as the two pieces recently produced for the MTV European Music Awards 2011, specially worn on stage by two of the brand’s style ambassadors, models Bar Refaeli and Irina Shayk.

Lots of guys denim outfits as well as the store’s original edits of the finest releases, quality limited products and must-have exclusive pieces from the group’s brands (REPLAY, We Are REPLAY, Red Seal by REPLAY, White Seal by REPLAY), which have been carefully curated for the Hong Kong market.

If you know the brand, then you’re going to be excited to know that Forever 21 opens today in Hong Kong.

Before you get too excited, the new 6-level store in Causeway Bay is still being renovated so they have 3 floors open and are calling it a soft launch – meaning only the womenswear levels are open, and the top ones for men won’t open till March.

Replay celebrates its 30th anniversary with a new global identity and have kicked it off in Hong Kong at their Harbour City store.

The Gap officially opened their flagship store in Hong Kong last week after much anticipation. The grand opening night was packed with an extremely long queue to get in that lots of people gave up in the end. Located at the LHT Tower on Queen’s Road Central, smack in the middle of Central, the 15,000 square feet store is hard to miss.

 The store is spread out in four levels and carries menswear, womenswear on the ground floor and basement with kidswear on the top floor. The Hong Kong opening is Gap’s 8th store in China, there are four in Shanghai and four in Beijing already.

The popular US brand J. Crew is rumored to be heading to Hong Kong in Summer of 2012 according to our sources. They are targeting Central for their first store and will look to expand almost immediately to tackle the huge mid-tier fashion market that is growing here like wildfire.

J. Crew is a huge brand that all our American readers will know well – they have around 250 retail stores and 76 locations in Japan! You can see their current collections at Jcrew.com – expect a formal announcement in December.

Fans of UK-brand Jack Wills will be happy to hear that they are opening their first Asian store in Hong Kong – and not just “one” to test the market but in 2 locations: Causeway Bay and Tsim Sha Tsui.

Jack Wills for those that don’t know the brand, takes the UK Oxford style and makes it hipper and cooler; they’ve definitely latched onto something as they have almost 60 stores in the UK and US, and now look to break into Asia through Hong Kong.

Cole Haan inaugurates a pop-up store in the prestigious Elements mall in September in the “Water” zone, which will run until November.

The 600-square-foot store features this season’s hand-painted collection exclusively, as well as iconic Cole Haan men’s and women’s shoes, bags, accessories and outerwear pieces. Crafted, painted and burnished by hand, each item in the collection is a unique, one-of-a-kind piece that will only be available at the pop-up store in Elements.
