Apple made a comment yesterday about being “nimble” in pricing of the iPad if the market demand for it isn’t as big as they think.
So, we thought we’d run a poll to see if this news would affect the way you buy an iPad, keeping in mind the big drop in price the first iPhone experienced on its launch (US$200 in short order, but gave early adopters $100 in store credit).
As iPadawans have noticed, there are 6 different versions of the iPad, there are 2 main choices: 3G and no-3G, and then with 3 different memory specs to suit every kind of user.
So now that some of the hype/backlash has died down a bit, please share with us your purchasing plans come this March/April 2010:
In the wake of the iPad, Google is ready to pounce!
At Neonpunch.com we try to just cover products that are actually coming out, but we can’t stay away from this one, especially after the belting the iPad received from hardcore gadget-fans. So maybe this will cool people down, or maybe just drive more excitement for the iPad.
These photos were found on The Chromium Projects site so it could just as easily be a concept rendering as its not from Google itself, but since there will be multiple companies making Google Chrome tablets the chances that one will look like this (and very similar to the iPad) might not be as much as a long shot as we might think.

The touchscreen Dash runs on a WiFi connection, allowing you to enjoy the World Wide Web even when you’re on the go or dashing about the house. If the iPhone transformed our lives, get ready to be transformed again.
If you saw the Wired magazine tablet demo a few weeks back, then you’re going to freak out when you see what Time has done to Sports Illustrated.
It’s great to see such a powerhouse publisher taking the lead BEFORE the product arrives. Even with the death of the CrunchPad and the new rumour that Apple’s tablet will be reasonably priced, you can bet this will be the tablet game changer for 2010.
But, sorry Ted, we need to see Hugh Hefner and Larry Flynt’s tablet demo before this thing really kicks into hyperdrive!
