Sony’s really into competing with Apple with this new iPod Touch killer.

If you remember the Sony Idou and Sony JS Desktop, you’d know what I mean when I say that Sony’s totally in to kill Apple. Sony announced the Idou to be a direct competitor to the iPhone, the JS to be a competitor to the iMac, and now they announced the Sony Walkman X-Series to be the direct competitor to the iPod Touch!
Just like the iPod Touch, the X-Series Walkmans will come packed with built-in WiFi for your internet browsing needs. It has a 3″ OLED touchscreen display, half an inch smaller than that of the iPod Touch, but it’s definitely going to be brighter. Also, Sony‘s new S-Master Amplifier Technology and Digital Sound Enhancement Engine (DSEE) are also implemented in this new walkman to ensure the highest quality of sound you’ve ever heard from a MP3 player.
Finally, the our favorite feature of this Walkman is the first-ever Digital Noise Cancellation built into the device. With this, any normal headphones you wear can be turned into Noise-Cancelling ones! You know what this means? You no longer have to spend HK$2000+ on those noise-cancelling headphones! Instead, you can listen to high quality music with noise-cancelling features in any normal headphone!
Similar to the iPod Touch, the Sony X-Series Walkmans will come in 16GB and 32GB capacities. However, it will for sure come with a hefty price tag. No official prices have been released yet, but we estimate the 16GB and 32GB Walkmans to be about HK$2400 and HK$3100 respectively. It will be available in stores by the end of May, so while you’re waiting, check out the press release!

A true beauty and a camera with wonderful features:

I know what you’re thinking. It’s one hell of a beautiful camera, isn’t it? Well, beauty only speaks half of what the Sony Cybershot G3 can do, and you’re going to know exactly why.
Yes, as the title says, this camera comes with built-in WiFi and its own web browser! There are already a few cameras with networking capabilities out there, but this is the world’s first ever digital camera that has its own internet browser. You know what that reminds me of? The iPod Touch. Instead of an iPod with internet, this is a powerful digital camera with internet!

Sony Ericsson has given Internet connectivity a new dimension in Hong Kong with their new Wi-Fi phone G705. High speed browsing, chatting with Mobile MSN and emailing with Exchange ActiveSync have never been so easy. These cute models kicked off this event last week in Hong Kong.
The GPS technology comes with a twist in G705. This slider phone recognizes locations while taking pictures through the Geo-tagging facility. Users can search for restaurants and other popular entertainment joints on the basis of their names, locations and cuisines.
The 2.4-inch LCD screen allows superb clarity of web pages. Autorotation, new web shortcuts, photo blogging, 3.2 megapixel camera and Pan-and-Zoom make this phone a “must have”.
