Chrissie Chau: The Bikini Girl That Melted Hong Kong

Friday 17 April 2009 10:23 am

You’ve seen her everywhere recently, now learn more about Chrissie Chau.

Chrissie Chau (周秀娜) surely has sped up the summer arrival in Hong Kong. If you’ve been anywhere near an MTR or a newsstand you know the face and definitely the body of Chrissie Chau from her ads for Slim Beauty! So we’re here to introduce Chrissie to you if you don’t know her.

Chrissie got into modeling after she won 1st runner-up title at the 2002 Comics Festival Game Girl, as her greatest assets started to get noticed (they are reportedly 32D). She’s proud of them and vowed to keep this bikini image going as part of her job and her claim to fame.

She’s many guys dream girl: not only is she hot, she loves to drive stick and she’s crazy about video games. While she apparently has a hairdresser boyfriend in Jordan, I’m sure she will soar to new heights soon, especially with TV commercials like this one:

The story behind this commercial and more shots are continued below:

She’s also a spokesperson for a young/hipsters shopping website called The site launch featured with a 1:1 limited edition cushion of her back in February. Only 150 were made and of course, they were long gone, but helped the site pull in visitors. You can still check out the site for cool Japanese and U.S. clothes and pictures of Chrissie without her clothes.

If you’ve almost walked into other people while staring at her MTR ad like we have, you should have seen the what happened during the making of the TV commercial: The setting was Central, Chrissie had to rip off her top to reveal a bikini underneath, as shown in the video above, while crossing the road at around noon time. A tourist was so “passionate and curious” to capture the production where the flash of his camera affected the filming progress. The crew had no choice but to call the cops after they failed to ask him to stop politely whilst he screamed and yelled to make a scene.

We’d definitely yell and make scenes if we saw Chrissie at the Neonpunch offices. But until then we have these awesome shots to tie us over this weekend:

  1. Chrissie is hot for a HK idol but still lacks the X factor of the Japanese gravure idols like Sayaka Ando

  2. She also lacks the rhinoplasty, the double-eyelid surgeries and facelifts of japanese idols.

  5. How is she hot? How can she be a ‘bikini model’, she doesn’t even have abs or even beach body. God. People’s standard these days.

  8. I just saw chrissie perform at the Sands, Macau.

What a joke. She was the absolute worst singer and/or performer that I have ever seen.

    Pure garbage.

If I were the Sands, I would demand a refund.

    Pure trash.

  10. These girls are stick thin. Jessica Cambensy goes to my gym and makes normal HK girls look fat. I was stretching next to her yesterday. As for Stacey, go back or stay in the West where they like women to be more like men. What western magazine told u a woman should have a six pack? That’s why white guys love Asian chicks – they are feminine. She doesn’t have a typical American beach body because she’s Asian, not Caucasian.

  11. beauty is subjective; standards change; would Stacy find the classic beauties of the Tang Dynasty attractive or hot? Hotter than Chrissie Chau? Maybe. But that might have something to do with bias/hating of bikini models like Ms. Chau.

  17. Charming and alluring indeed. Though I’m quite confused sometimes, can’t distinguish Chrissie Chau, Kamo Lo, etc among each other easily.

  18. NONE of the models/HK girls I’ve seen in ads have beach bodies. I think it’s because working out and being toned is an issue or a priority here. It’s also not a part of the culture here. I mean the men ARE prettier than the women here. They’re tanned and way toned, perfectly manicured.

judy at 9:46 pm on February 23rd, 2012
  19. correction:: being toned is NOT an issue

  20. Japanese,Thai,Indo,Malay girls are sexier, but asian girls must train their abs. There aren’t many who have a shaped stomach. They just enjoy eating too much.

  21. I agree. They look “soft”.
