‘Clash of the Titans’ Brings More 3D to Hong Kong
| April 1, 2010 |
The stop-motion classic gets a massive 3D overhaul on April 1st.
Even if you don’t remember Harry Hamlin’s Perseus fighting stop-motion monsters like Medusa, Calibos and The Kraken, it doesn’t matter because it all changes on April 1st, 2010 with the new 3D version of Clash of the Titans.
Even with Percy Jackson beating it out by a month or so, because of the decision to add in 3D effects, Clash of the Titans was the ultimate Greek god/monster movie in 1981 – and now with Avatar’s Jake Sully Sam Worthington in the lead as Perseus, Liam Neeson as Zeus, Ralph Fiennes as Hades and directed by Incredible Hulk director Louis Leterrier can only be excited to see how the effects sharpen up this remake.
Namco Bandai Games is developing a Clash of the Titans game for Xbox 360 and Sony Playstation 3 as well. Keep your eyes peeled for a possible movie ticket giveaway and get ready to clash once again on April 1st.
For your enjoyment the original trailer is below, we hope they keep Bubo, the mechanical owl sidekick in the new version:
Ooh, some clips of the 1981 classic on YouTube as well:
