Dell’s New Adamo XPS is Hong Kong’s Thinnest Laptop

Monday 8 February 2010 10:26 am

Watch your fingers on this one, its less than 10mm thick.

As parts get smaller, laptops get thinner and the Dell Adamo XPS looks like the one to beat.

It’s a measly 9.99mm thin but its not all looks and no brain, the Adamo XPS has 4GB DDR3 800 memory, Intel Core 2 Duo (1.4Ghz) ultra-low voltage processor, 128GB SSD for faster, cooler, quieter and more durable storage and a A13.4-inch High-Definition display.

When you open the Adamo, derived from the Latin word meaning “to fall in love,” the body is raised so the keyboard is angled to enhance cooling, a capacitive latching device like the iPhone, built in location awareness and it comes with Windows 7 64-bit edition.

The pencil-thin Adamo XPS weighs just over 3 pounds, measures 34 x 27.3 cm and you’re looking at prices starting at HK$25,999. More information is available at http://www.adamobydell.com.hk/.

We hope to get a demo unit into the Neonpunch offices in the next week or 2 and see if the Adamo XPS is worth the money.

  1. but look at how the thin keyboard is tilted. Obviously many thoughts have been put in this design!

  2. I think its tilted to let the CPU cool down easier. If its that thin its going to get hot in there and fast.
