HTC Gets Smart
Probably the lowest-priced smartphone on the market!
Yesterday HTC took to the main lobby of Times Square in Causeway Bay to launch a new economically-priced smartphone called the HTC Smart.
Although they may be running low on interesting descriptive English words in Taiwan to call their devices, the Smart is no dummy – with the look and feel of a smartphone but with a price that will kick Nokia in the teeth.
Not an Android OS but running Qualcomm’s Brew OS and with Friend Stream built-in, keeping in touch with Facebook and Twitter is easier and cheaper than ever!
Quick specs:
- 300 MHz processor
- 256 MN of RAM/ROM
- 108 grams with battery
- 2.8 inche TFT-LCD Screen
- Bluetooth
- 3.0 megapixel camera with fixed focus and flashlight
- MicroSD memroy expansion slot
- See the rest in detail here at the HTC Smart site.
HTC is pleased to have invited DJ Jim and singer Kary Ng to jointly launch a series of promotions for HTC Smart around Hong Kong making sure the younger market for smartphone users is properly serviced with this price point model – which we think is great. Get the kids off those old phones and sexting communicating in style!
The new HTC Smart will be available in May 2010 with a suggested retail price of HK$1,798.
