Yes, it does seem like it really is “Attack of the Mobiles” this week, doesn’t it? HTC doesn’t want to miss out on all the hype in the mobile phone market and doesn’t want the 2 remaining fans in Hong Kong of Windows Mobile left without a new phone.

A more straight-forward business phone the HTC Touch Pro2 is on sale right now in Hong Kong for HK$5,680.

Some highlight features of the HTC Touch Pro2 include:

  • A customized version of Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional.
  • 116mm (L) x 59.2mm (W) x 16.65mm (T)
  • 178.5g (with battery)
  • Main camera: 3.2 mega-pixel colour camera with auto focus
  • Touch focus areas have been enlarged to be more finger-touch friendly.
  • Equipped with sliding QWERTY keyboard, gravity and ambient light sensors.
  • A high-resolution 3.6-inch widescreen WVGA adjustable tilt display.
  • Proximity sensors to avoid unintended activation of the touch screen.
  • Expansion slot for MicroSD

Straight Talk is an interesting feature that includes an innovative mechanical and acoustic design that features a sophisticated speakerphone experience similar to those found in corporate boardrooms. Straight Talk delivers a high-fidelity voice and sound experience enhanced by asymmetric speakers and advanced noise suppression with full duplex acoustics. When the Touch Pro2 is flipped over it automatically turns into a conference room speakerphone system. That is pretty neat!

And since you’re probably getting “Phone Fatigue” we’ll finish this off with some shots of the lovely models that helped launched this phone a few days ago in Hong Kong:
