Inglourious Basterds Brings Quentin Tarantino Back to Hong Kong
| August 20, 2009 |
After 1 Pulp Fiction and 2 Kill Bill’s now he’s got Brad Pitt fighting nazis.

I guess Hong Kong movie distributors love Quentin Tarantino even after Grindhouse. We’re getting his latest WWII movie Inglourious Basterds on August 20th – a day before the U.S. release:
Inglourious Basterds is a comedic war film written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, due for release in 2009 by The Weinstein Company and Universal Studios. It is set in Nazi-occupied France during World War II and has the largest number of speaking roles of any Tarantino film to date. It was filmed in several locations, among them Germany and France, beginning in October 2008.The title (and partial premise) of the upcoming film was inspired by Italian director Enzo Castellari’s 1978 movie Inglorious Bastards, but it is not a remake of that film.
Well it’s got Brad Pitt, Christoph Waltz, Eli Roth (Yes, the director of Hostel) B.J. Novak (Yes, “Ryan” from The Office) Mike Meyers (Yes, THAT Mike Meyers) and our very own Maggie Cheung 張曼玉 starring in it so whatever it turns out to be its going to be a fun flick to watch. Trailer below:

As far as I’m aware Maggie Cheung’s small part never made it into the final cut.
There’s always the chance for her to show up on the DVD.
