iPhanatics x iPadawans: The April Apple Hong Kong Meet-Up at RED SoHo

Get your iPhones, iPads and lightsabers out!

It’s time for the iPhanatics to get together again!

Bringing Hong Kong’s “Appleratti” together since March 2009, its now time again for a rousing evening of happy hour drinks, fanatical tech enthusiasts and a chance to show off your new gadgets from the House of Jobs on Tuesday, April 27th, 2010.

So the iPad has launched and iPhone OS 4 has also been previewed; meaning we have lots to talk about – and we’ll do it in style at RED SoHo with guest speakers even!

We are very happy to be have with us for the first time:

David Zhu: the former Director of Engineering of Smule, makers of the amazing Ocarina app for the iPhone as well as the new Magic Piano for iPad (that you’ve no doubt seen that cat playing already!) David will recount his early days with Smule and do some live Ocarina music for us. Audience dancing optional.

Kathy Fung: formerly of Double Fine in San Francisco, (that made one of our fave Xbox 360 games: Brutal Legend) is now founder of new iPhone/iPad game development company Infinite Lives and had one of the iPad launch games with her MMO CastleCraft through Ngmoco. Kathy will talk to us about getting ready to launch a huge game on the most anticipated gadget since, well, the iPhone!

We’ll also be bringing up one of our good friends Bill So of Headnix who will be showcasing some of the new features you will see this Summer on iPhone OS 4 as well as our usual App Share where we call on people to share one Awesome App and one App they regret buying/downloading.

Its Happy Hour at RED SoHo with bottled beers and Stella on Draught for HK$40 and Chardonnay/Cabernet at HK$38 (plus free snacks) for the duration of the event!
