Its Finally Landed: iPad Goes on Sale This Friday in Hong Kong

The first wait is over this Friday.

Apple Hong Kong has just sent us the news – the iPad will be available to purchase this Friday, July 23rd in Hong Kong!

Apple today announced that iPad will be available in Austria, Belgium, Hong Kong, Ireland, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand and Singapore this Friday, July 23. iPad allows users to connect with their apps and content in a more intimate, intuitive and fun way than ever before. Users can browse the web, read and send email, enjoy and share photos, watch HD videos, listen to music, play games, read ebooks and much more, all using iPad’s revolutionary Multi-Touch user interface. iPad is 0.5 inches thin and weighs just 1.5 pounds—thinner and lighter than any laptop or netbook—and delivers up to 10 hours of battery life.*
Beginning this Friday, customers can purchase all models of iPad through select Apple Authorized Resellers.
Pricing & Availability
All iPad models will be available from July 23 in Austria, Belgium, Hong Kong, Ireland, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand and Singapore for a suggested retail price of
- HK$3,888 for the 16GB model
- HK$4,888 for the 16 GB + 3G model
- HK$4,688 for the 32GB model
- HK$5,688 for the 32 GB + 3G mode
- HK$5,488 for the 64GB model
- HK$6,488 for the 64GB + 3G model.
iPad will be sold through select Apple Authorized Resellers (www.apple.com/hk/en/ipad/buy/). iPad will roll out to many more countries later this year and Apple will announce availability and local pricing for these additional countries at a later date.

Yeah! Finally!
I noticed that they will be on sale on student campus. I wonder if there will be some special package deal for the iPad?
They have good discounts on MacBooks etc, but usually not on the really hot items.
BTW, when you buy from their Edu store, they don’t ask questions. Done that for a MacBook, saved $1000
