Nokia Gets Into the Netbook Business, Introduces ‘The Booklet 3G’
The mini-pc “The Booklet 3G” is coming, et tu Steve Jobs?

While everyone is looking at Apple for their iTablet, Nokia slips in the backdoor and slaps us in the back of the head with this new device: the Nokia Booklet 3G – and it has a lot to offer power users as well as casual users of the standard netbook.
It appears that Nokia really wants to create their own niche. It appears to come standard with Windows 7, an atom processor and combines these with its small form factor of 2cm (.78″), 10″ screen and the mobility and convenience of 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity not to mention its 12-hour battery time and HDMI output.
Whew! The look and feel of the laptop should remain important to branding fans of Nokia and they sure don’t seem to disappoint.

“A growing number of people want the computing power of a PC with the full benefits of mobility,” said Kai Oistamo, Nokia’s Executive Vice President for Devices. “We are in the business of connecting people and the Nokia Booklet 3G is a natural evolution for us. Nokia has a long and rich heritage in mobility and with the outstanding battery life, premium design and all day, always on connectivity, we will create something quite compelling. In doing so we will make the personal computer more social, more helpful and more personal.” –Kai Oistamo, Nokia’s Executive Vice President for Devices
