Milla and Micheal Scofield take zombies down for a 4th time.

Just when you thought they couldn’t go to the well one more time kill any more zombies. Milla Jovovich is back (with her husband and director of the first Resident Evil) and ready to kill more zombies for you – this time in 3D.

This time she’s bringing TV stars Ali Larter from Heroes and the best brother in the world, Prison Break’s Wentworth Miller for Resident Evil: Afterlife.

And while we don’t have free tickets we do have something even cooler for you courtesy of Edko Films.

Afterlife 3D was shot using the same 3D camera system that Avatar used, making it an unforgettable action packed ride for the audience. Using twin Sony F35 cameras installed on the Cameron/PACE FUSION 3D rigs, Resident Evil: Afterlife 3D is also the first movie to use the Phantom cameras to shoot in 3D.

The Phantom, originally developed by NASA to study the minute cracks and stresses on Space Shuttle tiles during launch, was designed to shoot at 1,000 frames per second, whereas the average camera shoots at 24 frames per second. Unlike many other 3D films, very little of Resident Evil: Afterlife 3D is a product of computer generation.

In a world ravaged by a virus infection, turning its victims into the Undead, Alice, continues on her journey to find survivors and lead them to safety. Her deadly battle with the Umbrella Corporation reaches new heights, but Alice gets some unexpected help from an old friend. A new lead that promises a safe haven from the Undead takes them to Los Angeles, but when they arrive the city is overrun by thousands of Undead – and Alice and her comrades are about to step into a deadly trap.

Here is the latest trailer and you know they are going to use the 3D to good measure:

  1. Definitely going to be the first Resident Evil.

The part when the special ops team goes into that narrow corridor and that laser knife comes out and just slices everyone into sashimi – and the last guy just slowly falls to the ground piece by piece.

Ok that and the scene where she kung fu kicks the zombie dogs was insane too!

    Sick and awesome!

  2. What? No Resident Evil: Degeneration???? How can any ‘true’ fan not have that to choose from as an option? ;-P

Ok, let’s see, I like the scene at the mall…wait, wrong zombie movie. No, I like the scene where Leon rescues Ashley from the….er no that’s Game Cube…

    …oh nevermind. ;-P

  3. Resident Evil: Apocalypse while not as good as the first one as a true fan you can not get chills when you see Nemesis walking around and of course the perfect casting and costuming of Sienna Guillory as Jill Valentine.

I dont see Wentworth Miller as Chris Redfield thought more like Chris Evans but I guess he is Captain America.

But if they can re-create some of the action from the first one with the Avatar cameras I’m in.

  5. I always loved the last scene from the first movie when Alice wakes up in the white room – we see that half her head has been shaved, we see a nipple slip and then she walks out into the street and the camera pulls back to show that the whole city has been destroyed and then it ends.

A few movies were able to pull that kind of epilogue off and Resident Evil 1 was one of them.

  6. 1) The lasers from the first movie. The entire sequence is the best. But did anyone expect the laser to come back in Extinction???

    2) Extinction. When Alice rescues the survivors group from the infected crows and all of the sudden she’s got telekinesis! Stronger than Sylar, stronger than Madelyne Pryor, stronger than Mr. Hands.

Skynet Vs. Zombies. Who would win?

  8. My favourite scene from all 3 RE movies is in the first RE movie. When the Red Queen reveals that she planned to save the licker to finish them off she says “I’ve been a bad, bad girl.”. She says it in such a naughty and sensual way and also it just sounded so provocative! It was the most memorable scene for me! Even more than “You’re all going to die down here.”!
