Go from the high-tech world of Iron Man to the low-tech world of horses and chivalry next week when Ridley Scott’s new Robin Hood film “bows” in Hong Kong with Russell Crowe and Kate Blanchett.

No Kevin Costner, no Bryan Adams, no spandex, no signing – but we’re hoping this is more than “Gladiator in Sherwood Forest” – you be the judge with this new trailer:

The trailer looks cool and it’s always fun to see Ridley and Russell chew up the screen, but is it coming out at the wrong time? We’re not expecting anything that new and innovative with Robin Hood other than a straight great film from the Oscar-winning team, but after Iron Man 2 and before Shrek Forever After it might seem like the odd man out.

Of course we reserve final judgment till next Thursday when it opens wide in Hong Kong in 34 cinemas:
