Samsung Anycall Galaxy Lightspeeds Its Way to Hong Kong
The slimmest Android phone in Hong Kong or any other universe.

The Samsung Anycall Galaxy has recently been released in Hong Kong, finally! We’ve been talking this up since May. The Android mobile phone market in Hong Kong is really at a fever pitch, and is definitely not going to cool down anytime soon. Though if you’re looking for an incredibly slim (only 11.9 mm thick), sleek mobile phone comes with the new Android OS on it – the Samsung Anycall Galaxy looks to be your FTL drive to another universe of mobile phone awesomeness.
You get all the great Samsung engineering with all the new mobile goodness of things like the Android Market, with more than ten thousand applications as well as support for the full range of Google services. With the 3.2 inch, full-color HVGA touch screen, you’ll be able to see the World Wide Web, Search, maps and YouTube in crisp detail, and its so thin you can slide it in your back pocket.
Wi-Fi support allows you to use the integrated GPS server at any time, not to mention Bluetooth and USB mobile connections that help you power your other devices. The 5.0 Megapixel camera is complete with an LED flash, giving you lots of photo ops to store in the 8GB internal memory drive. You’ll also get up to 32GB microSDHC memory for videos, music and anything else you want. The 1500 mAH battery gives you around nine and one-half hours’ worth of talk time.

OK so while we weren’t thrilled with the Omnia II more because of the archaic Windows Mobile OS, the Galaxy looks to fix that issue and still deliver Samsung’s great looking and well-priced hardware. But keep in mind there are a bunch more Android phones still racing to Hong Kong before the end of 2009, and the Galaxy is running the standard version of Android not the fancy one running on HTC phones.
The Samsung Anycall Galaxy is available in Hong Kong for HK$3,988.
