Samsung Brings 4 New Series of Camcorders to Hong Kong

Samsung releases 4 new lines of camcorders– each with its own specialty

What are the 4 new series, you ask? First there is the H-Series, which is the first camcorder in the world to use Solid State Drives. Then there is the R-series and C-series, which both offer a 25-degree active angle lens. Finally there is the F-series, which offers support for Youtube and has an amazing battery life of up to 3 hours!

1. H-Series

With built-in SSD capacities of 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB, and support for SDHC cards, you will never have to worry about running out of space again. The SSD is not only faster than traditional HDDs, but it also runs cooler and quieter, making it an excellent choice for camcorder storage. It also offers a 10x optical zoom, 2.7″ LCD display, and a 37mm wide-angle lens. The H-Series camcorders will sell for HK$5,990 for the SDHC model, up to HK$6,990 for the 64GB SSD model.

2. HMX-R10

This aluminum-brushed baby is the world’s smallest and lightest camcorder. With the lens angled at 25-degrees, users no longer have to experience arm and elbow pain from holding the camcorder up straight. The relaxed grip enables users to record for long periods of time without fatigue. It can record at 9 mega-pixels and take 12-megapixel still photos, making it a great tool for on-the-go users. It offers a 5x optical zoom and a 2.7″ LCD display, despite its small size. This one sells for HK4,990.

3. SMX-C10

Similar to the R10, the C10 is another ergonomically-designed camcorder, featuring the lens at a 25-degree angle. This camera also features a Web & Mobile shooting mode, enabling users to record in the exact resolution and format Youtube uses, so users don’t have to waste time converting video formats before uploading. This camcorder offers a slightly better 10x optical zoom. It too has a 2.7″ LCD display. At HK$2,490, it’s the cheapest of the 4.

4. SMX-F30

The F30 offers something special. This camcorder can record for up to 3 hours on just one charge! Besides that, it utilizes Samsung’s 42x Intelli-Zoom, which allows it to zoom beyond its 34x optical zoom without losing image quality like digital zoom does. It offers easy Youtube uploading, and a brand new image processor to produce the highest quality videos. Like the other 3, this camcorder also comes with a large bright 2.7″ LCD display. This one sells for HK$3,990.
