Samsung Releases Cool New MP3 Players with Hotcha

Samsung’s new MP3s are both technologically advanced and hip to the latest styles.

Last week, Samsung released two new MP3 players and a stylish voice-recording pen. Samsung has always been one of the best in the audio industry with their previous MP3s, such as the P2. Let’s see what they have for us today:

1. Samsung YP-P3

As you can tell by the name, the Samsung P3 will be the official successor to the flagship Samsung P2. Like the P2, it will offer a 3″ 16:9 touchscreen display. Encased in a body only 9.9mm thin with a tempered glass surface, it’s truly one of the slickest MP3s out there. Similar to the iPod Touch, it will offer a customizable widget toolbar that’s expandable up to 5 pages for all your little apps. It has built-in Bluetooth 2.1 so you can pair it up with other bluetooth devices for data transfer, or even use it as a hands-free so you won’t miss any of your calls.

It comes in 2 versions– an 8GB version and a 16 GB one. They retail for HK$1,398 and HK$1,798 respectively.

2. YP-Q1 La Fleur

Just check out the design! This super-pretty MP3 and its special leather casing is designed by a French designer for those that want a romantic French-styled design. It’s a special edition of the YP-Q1, which means it will have the same features. Some of the features of the Q1 in clude a 2.4″ screen with a touch pad, FM radio, audio recording, and even railway maps for major cities.

The 4GB version costs HK$698 and the 8GB version costs HK$958.

Whether you want a voice recording for professional interview recording, or just for personal use, the VP1 voice pen will do the job quite well. Besides coming in a sleek metallic form factor, it also offers some very advanced features.

It has Auto Gain Control and Noise Reducer to enhance the recorded sound so that it comes out crystal clear. It has 5 different recording qualities so you can control the balance between quality or length. On Ultra High Quality mode, the 2GB memory can record up to 21 hours, and on Long Playback mode, it can record up to 520 hours of audio! Besides the voice recording, it also comes with a 1.1″ color LCD display and a built-in camera for your photograph interviews.

The VP1 Voice Pen comes in a 2GB version that retails for HK$1,198.
