Sony Introduces the Vaio JS Series Desktop
Sony rolls out their version of the iMac. Someone go wake Steve!

What’s the first thing you think of when you see the above picture? No doubt you’re thinking, Apple’s iMac. Well, Sony just unleashed their own slick and thin desktop with the Sony Vaio JS Series desktop. This computer is very similar to the iMac, in the way that the hardware is all shoved behind the monitor screen. It’s a must-get for those who have limited space at their computer desk. However, despite its space-saving design, the bright 1680 x 1050 20.1″ monitor is more than big enough for most people to work without squinting. In fact, we’d say it’s big enough to watch movies!
This computer may not be a powerful gaming computer, but it definitely meets the needs of those who are just doing office work or using it as a media center:
- It’s powered by a Core 2 Duo CPU
- 2GB of RAM, which is upgradeable to 4GB
- 320GB hard drive is definitely enough for most people.
- nVidia GeForce 9300M, which can display your movies very vividly.
This computer, priced at HK$8980, might not offer the best hardware for its price. However, its space saving design makes up for it! Compared to the iMac, the Sony Vaio JS offers a lot bigger bang for the buck! Right now, Sony Hong Kong is offering a free USB TV Tuner for everyone that orders this desktop. This offer won’t last long!
