Shoot in Hi-Def, in 360-degrees and upload to YouTube with just one click!
Sony Hong Kong today introduced the pocket-sized Bloggie MPEG4 camcorder MHS-PM5. This stylish MPEG4 camcorder allows the easy capture and uploading of MPEG4 videos with resolutions of up to 1920 x 1080, and makes it dead easy to upload your HD videos to Facebook, YouTube or to your blog…hence the name we’re guessing.
Equipped with Sony’s new 360-degree video technology, the 5.0-megapixel MHS-PM5 lets you capture the surrounding environment in photos and HD videos (1280 x 720). Simply by connecting the Bloggie MPEG4 camcorder to a web-enabled PC or Macintosh via the camcorder’s built-in USB arm, users can easily select images and videos with the built-in Picture Motion Browser (PMB) Portable application, and seamlessly upload them anywhere online.
What makes this camcorder stand out is that it comes with a 360-degree video lens allowing you to film 360-degree coverage, see the video below for what we mean.
Keeping in mind that no-one likes to touch all those buttons and knobs, the Bloggie doesn’t need you to adjust controls to get perfect pictures; the intuitive MHS-PM5 features full auto shooting for an easy imaging experience. Users can capture moving visuals in various optimum settings determined by the Bloggie MPEG4 camcorder – whether indoor or outdoor. Additionally, Face Detection and SteadyShot image stabilisation technologies ensure clarity in all photos and videos.
Designed to fit every pocket, the unique vertically designed MPEG4 camcorder also comes with an expandable Memory Stick slot compatible with Memory Stick and the newly launched SD / SDHC cards, enabling users to create an expansive library of movies and images to share with their family and friends.
Sony’s new Bloggie MPEG4 camcorder will be available at the suggested retail price of HK$1,880 from the end of January 2010.
Pre-ordering runs from 13 January to 31 January, 2010. Customers purchasing the MPEG4 camcorder during the period will receive a colour matching carrying case LCS-CSVC and 4GB SD memory card for free. Very cool that it’s not restricted to using Sony Memory Sticks only either!
