Can it also “defy” its competition in the Android phone space?

After “flipping out,” Motorola now wants to be defiant with its latest Android 2.1 mobile phone, that they think is the toughest mobile phone ever made!
The Motorola Defy is dust proof, water resistant and maybe even Hulk-proof, and features a large, resilient display that has protection against scratches making this phone one of the toughest out there. Another main feature is the inclusion of CrystalTalk PLUS technology that decreases noise by using two microphones that filter out background noise and amplifies your voice so you don’t have to shout like the Hulk does!

More oogly googly smartphone goodness.

The Nexus One still stands as the one of the finest Android handsets out there. But Google decided to drop HTC and go with Samsung this time around for what is essentially the Nexus 2 but we’re guessing the “S” stands for “speed” since it’s reportedly faster than its predecessor.
The Nexus S is more important because it sports the new Gingerbread or Andorid 2.3 OS on it. Also exciting is the 4” Contour Display, a 1GHz Hummingbird processor, front and rear facing cameras, 16GB of internal memory, and NFC (near field communication) hardware that lets you read information from NFC tags. Another day another HTC phone, more hot models.

So you still can’t stand typing on your smartphone without a physical keyboard? Yes, we know you can – but apparently many of HTC’s users cannot so voila: the Desire Z.
The selling point here is the pop hinge QWERTY keyboard and the usual 3.7″ touch screen, 720p HD video recording and a 5-megapixel camera. Looks like HTC is focussing on business users with this one as they make special mention that it can open and edit any format in the Microsoft Office suite and PDF files. They’ve followed the iPhone’s universal inbox for multiple accounts as well.
