This will be your go-to app for post processing pix on your iPad.

OK, so you’ve read our review of the new iPad and seen the photos it can take in our photo gallery – you might still not even have one yet, but we’re going to point out 10 awesome things about the new iPhoto app for iPad.
This app goes hand-in-hand with the new iPad camera – you will be taking better photos and video with the new camera so you might as well edit your works of art right afterwards or chances are you’ll NEVER edit them. iPhoto not only makes it easy, it makes it downright fun.

Does the new camera hold up on the new iPad?

We’ve been playing with the new iPad for a few weeks now and it’s amazing how just the retina screen addition makes it feel like a completely new device (You can read our initial review here).
We decided to extrapolate on our look at the new 5MP camera this time to see if it really is a better camera than the iPad 2. While we looked silly taking photos with the giant iPad viewfinder in sight, the photos that were produced were no joke.

Our first weekend with the newest Apple device.

We’ve had a good couple of days playing with the new iPad from Apple and even though our review seems to match a lot of the other ones we’re going to tell you what we thought anyways because you want a Hong Kong perspective, right?
We gave you some of our immediate reactions in Friday’s post, so we’re going to expand on it here:
Retina Display
From the very first time you turn on the new iPad you will notice the amazing clarity in the screen. In comparison, looking at the iPad 2 is like looking at a movie on VCD and one on Blu-ray. Once you get used to the new retina display you can never look at the iPad 2 again. It’s amazingly clear – your email, webpages and photos all POP out like crazy. Probably the same feeling you had when you first saw a Blu-ray movie too.
The problem with this is that it’s too hard to show you images of what it looks like. Our camera cannot capture the difference either – you just have to see it to believe it. You can click here to see a lock screen we are using of a HD image of the Avengers movie poster – it clocks in a 6MB for the 2048 x 1536 pixel screen capture – it’s so clear you can count all the hair in Tony Stark’s beard.

HK’s first Apple day-and-date launch is here!

It’s here Hong Kong – in all it’s retina display glory: Apple’s NEW (unnumbered) iPad.
Today’s iPad launch went off with a much more organized kick-off then what you might have expected given the chaos surrounding the iPhone 4S launch and the photos we tweeted earlier this week as scalpers started queuing at the IFC Mall Apple Store as early as Tuesday morning.
Apple turned on their iReserve webpage to ensure no lines this morning – and it worked like a charm. As of 9pm last night you were alerted by email if you were chosen to come and pick up your new iPad at the Apple Store or wait for the next day’s shipment.

Not 3, Not HD: Apple ushers in the “resolutionary” New iPad.

So most of the rumours are true: Apple has upgraded their iPad 2 tablet device to the humbly named 9.7″: New iPad.
The best part of all this is that Hong Kong is finally part of the first city launches for Apple products and the New iPad will go on sale next Friday, March 16.
All the details are already up on Apple.com/hk – so you can check out pricing there.
First thoughts: From watching and reading the liveblogging on sites like Engadget, GDGT and The Verge – it seems like the key feature of the New iPad is the retina display. What makes the iPhone 4 and 4S so amazing is its high-resolution screen and that technology is coming to the iPad – at the same price, but at the cost of the device being a bit heavier than the iPad 2.
