Apple to Video Stream Event at 1am Hong Kong Time

Wednesday. 1 September. 2010. 10:46 am

Finally we can see and hear what’s happening instead of reading.

If you are like us, when Apple has an event we’re up into the wee hours of the morning to hear what Steve Jobs has to say – y’know because of the time difference. But because there is no filming allowed inside, we have to resort to live-blogging by sites like Engadget, TUAW and following people who are inside the event hall on Twitter – which actually does quite a good job. But because its just text and photos refreshing its like watching the keynotes from space.

It all changes tonight because at 1am Hong Kong time, Apple will be streaming to your iMac or your iPad (!) the big event! So stay tuned to www.apple.com for what will promise to be at the very least new iPod’s and if rumors are true – the next generation of Apple TV.

And as usual we will report on it tomorrow if you are too wimpy tired to stay up. You know who you are.

Enough time for our friends in Shenzhen to make things like this:

What you are looking at above is an iMac that can convert from a straight Mac OSX iMac then pushed down and turned into a touchscreen device that can run iOS – this bringing the worlds of the desktop and the iPad together in magical matrimony! In other words an “iMac Touch.”

And then imagine if the screen area was as light as an iPad.

Then imagine if the screen could be removed.

And then top it off with the idea that you could run a touchscreen version of OSX.

How excited would you be now?
