Look ma, no hands!

hanfree Hanfree for the iPad Lets Your Hands Do More Important Things

Hey Girlyman, are your arms too tired from pumping all that iron all day that holding an iPad 2 is just too much? Well, we don’t have that problem either but someone thinks you do and so does everyone who helped crowdfund this idea on Kickstarter: the Hanfree for iPad.

It’s exactly what you think it is: a stand with a wire so that you can easily use your iPad without holding it. It beat its estimated pledge price from only 337 funders on Kickstarter so that means the creators are probably already preparing this for production.

At US$79.95/HK$650 for each Hanfree it does seem worth it and we’ll definitely be looking at reviews in anticipation of ordering one for ourselves. It looks great for the kitchen, bedroom and living room – and yes, we’re going to say it – the toilet!

Here is the Kickstarter video to give you a better idea:

Fortune Gives Insight Into the Magic of Apple and the “Top 100″ Inner Circle

Monday. 9 May. 2011. 10:25 am

This month’s issue of Fortune pulls back the curtain on AppleLand.

We downloaded the new issue of Fortune on our iPad specifically because of the 22-page story on Apple. The app is free but the issue costs US$4.99/HK$40 – cheaper than you’ll pay for the print copy in Hong Kong. But alas no extra multimedia or interactivity other than the ability to read vertically or horizontally.

If you want to get the basics, a few of the Apple sites in the US have skimmed some of the surface of the story but its an amazing read for those as infatuated with Apple as we are, and all wrapped up in a beautiful and easy to read format provided by the iPad.

We took the liberty of taking some screen shots for you to coerce you to switch to the digital version below.

iPad 2: Apple Defines the Category it Created with an Upgrade Worthy of the Title: ‘Magical’

Wednesday. 27 April. 2011. 8:31 pm

iPad 2 comes to HK this week and we have your first look.

the ipad2 iPad 2: Apple Defines the Category it Created with an Upgrade Worthy of the Title: ‘Magical’

It launched in the US on March 11th – we were there at the Austin pop-up shop happily lining up in our first ever Apple Store line-up eagerly awaiting our chance to purchase the iPad 2.

We have the iPad 1 which we loved dearly (and we loved Hong Kong’s reaction to it last year) – yes, it takes some time getting used to as a laptop replacement. But as we slowly started using it more than our Macbook Air to read blogs, surf the web and watch videos and got used to the touchscreen keyboard we’re not sure why we ever carried around a laptop.

So, lets begin our in-depth look at the iPad 2 – we’ll look at the new size, weight, apps and see if it worth upgrading or if this will be your first iPad. Some will scoff at the “magical” description (we swear it came from Hogwarts), but as you’ll read it’s worthy of that title and more and you can experience it for yourself when it goes on sale in Hong Kong this week.
