Who cares about music, its all about the wristwatch!
It seems the world doesn’t really care about the iPod Nano as an MP3 player, and why should we, just about everyone has the deluxe model – but the idea of wearing it as a watch is exciting for the Apple geek wanting to make a fashion statement.
Another retrotastic gadget that takes us back to the good old 80’s.
The Portable Digital Music Player from firstSTREET looks just like the boom-boxes from the eighties and is a functional music player.
This retro 80′s beaut brings back the flash, and fits any iPod device to supply the tunes. It also has an auxiliary in so your options aren’t limited, as well as an FM tuner. It can record anything off of its built in FM radio tuner onto a USB drive or an SD card without having to go through a computer. The 21st century version of the boom-box can also hold your iPod and play music through its speakers. Now you can walk the streets with this boom-box on your shoulder, blasting funky tunes, just like you did back in 1980! And while it includes a power cord, it’s made to run off those “D” batteries, old school baby!
All this awesomeness can be had for a low price of HK$1,200/US$149.95 available here.
If you only want to listen to music and nothing else, here you go!
After less than 2-weeks from when Steve Jobs announced it – the all-new iPod Nano has landed in Hong Kong.
At a press event on Friday, Apple showed off the new line of iPod’s and basically told us everything we already saw from the keynote and that we already posted here.
Stylish and musical and just in time for the iPod Nano release.
We’re going to an Apple press event today to see the new line of iPod’s for the first time in Hong Kong – but the real excitement is over this very cool iPod Nano watch strap!
You know you wanted to do this ever since you saw it in Steve’s keynote – and CountryComm – an enterprising company in California – whipped these together for only US$17/HK$132.
Their site is very 1998, and they don’t ship until November, and its basically just a strap – which gives someone in Sham Shui Po more than enough time to make this for HK$17.
The cool thing would be is if the Nano can be hacked to control music on all your iDevices from your wrist – then we’d be talking about a very useful gadget.
Just when you thought your kid was already spending too much time with your iPhone or iPod Touch, Griffin introduces the Woogie something to make them what to play with it even more.

And no, this isn’t a joke – the Woogie is currently only available in the US for $20 from Griffin – the same company that makes other iPhone cases for adults.
