Nokia Hong Kong released their first mini laptop, the 3G Booklet at their flagship store opposite Times Square in Causeway Bay, celebrities Jennifer Tse (Nicholas’ sister) and Juno Mak unveiled the sleek new machine.
The Booklet has an ultrathin 2 cm body and can get online from virtually anywhere thanks to the built-in 3G modem and Wi-Fi support. The machine can run up to 12 hours thanks to a 16-cell battery which should appeal to workaholics. For the fashion forward the mini laptop comes in three colours black, ice (white) and azure (blue) and has a sticker price of HK$6,998.
Fujitsu Hong Kong releases an eye-catching sleek little netbook.
Fujitsu Hong Kong recently released a new netbook which is not only compact, but incredibly stylish and will be this season’s must-have tech accessory for the urban fashionista.
The ultra lightweight and über-sleek LifeBook UH900 features a 62GB solid-state drive (SSD), IntelAtom Z530 processor and weighs less than 500g. Fujitsu’s new netbook also boasts full Windows 7 compatibility including multi-touch support.
The new ultra mobile PC comes in three colours that will go with any outfit; Mocha Black, Fiery Red and Vintage Gold in a glossy finish.
OLED stands for Organic Light Emitting Diode in easier terms it means “Super skinny video screens that can basically wrap around your wrist.” So you can imagine how totally cool, and how totally useless your current netbook will be, when it starts to come out at a consumer level later in 2010:
Samsung says it aims to roll out this beauty with a 12.1-inch, 1280×768 AMOLED screen by the end of next year, and it might even be available as early as the third quarter.
Samsung SDI is the world’s largest OLED screen manufacturer, so it would be only natural for it to be first up with an OLED notebook. This will certainly be a premium item — nobody’s talking price, but we’re guessing this sexy lappie will probably cost at least US$5000. Fast forward five years, and OLED laptops will be commonplace … and cheap.
It seems new tech always costs alot when it comes out but within 24 months its dirt cheap. But keep your eyes open for more OLED devices coming out from Samsung before this one does.

Being probably the first to come up with the netbook idea, the Eee PC still remains as popular as ever. The Eee PC 1000HE improves on its prodecessors. Like the Samsung NC10, this netbook also offers a super long battery life– 9.5 hours. Also, it funs on one of the faster Intel Atom CPUs, a 1.66GHz one. Its other features are similar to the other netbooks, offering a 160GB hard drive, 1GB of RAM, and a 10″ screen. This one goes for around HK$3,100, a fairly inexpensive price.
