If you’re an Android user then you’re probably already waiting for the new OS update called Ice Cream Sandwich – and most likely because of AsiaD – with many Google executives in Hong Kong this week; it seems like the perfect place to launch after a week’s delay out of respect for the passing of Steve Jobs.

We’re also expecting the Samsung phone to rival the iPhone 4S to be unveiled today as well: the Nexus Prime.

Samsung Hong Kong launched the Galaxy Tab yesterday at a big event in The Mira Hotel with special guests and the media. They were expecting to create a big noise here in Hong Kong with the event and give consumers an alternative to Apple’s iPad.

The Galaxy Tab gets points for running Adobe Flash, having a 3 megapixel camera with LED flash, 1080p playback in various file formats and utilizing the Swype keyboard interface and already stocking a bunch of Chinese book titles to choose from.

But that is about where the excitement stops. Stops dead and cold.

At a big event at the HKCEC yesterday, Samsung launched another big and bright Android phone, hot on the heels of Apple’s new iPhone 4 called the Galaxy S.

Some neat things about the Samsung Galaxy S is that it comes with the Layar’s Reality Browser is preloaded so you get a neat POV of the streets, it can shoot HD video, has a Aldiko eBook, a system you can write something down quickly and be allowed to send it via SMS email or post it on your social network and something called Swype that Samsung says allows you to text 1.5x faster than normal!

Like the Toruk Makto in Avatar, Samsung has jumped on their flying dragon with an aggressive launch of 3D HD LCD TV’s in Hong Kong. Slapping movie theatres in the face so fast, the can now speak the Na’vi dialect fluently.

The full HD LED TV Series comes in sizes from 40″ to 65″ mixed with the 3D Blu-ray player and the 3D Active glasses will  bring Hollywood movies screaming into your living room.
